Do I need debate experience to coach this?
No. Every weekly lesson plan is fully scripted — Scripture anchor, key teaching points, vocabulary, a hands-on activity, and homework. If you can read a lesson plan 15 minutes before class, you can coach this course. The printable judging rubrics and the read-aloud judge orientation script mean any parent or volunteer can judge too.
What ages is it for?
Ages 13 through adult. It works for teen co-op classes, church youth and adult ministries, community groups, or a few families meeting in a living room.
What debate formats are taught?
Four, introduced step by step: impromptu speaking, persuasive speaking, Lincoln-Douglas 1v1 values debate, and 2v2 team policy debate — with speech times sized for co-op classes. Three scrimmages build toward a full final tournament in weeks 15–16.
